Fall 2004 Season Approaches ...
Opening Day & Fall Season:
As the summer school break comes to a close and thoughts about the 1st day of school, so are the preparations for the RHSC's Fall Season. Many behind the scene activities are nearing completion as the Club prepares for the 1st Intramural games to be played on Saturday, September 11th and for the 5 Travel teams on Sunday, September 12th. The Fall intramural season will play a total of 8 games and please note there are NO games scheduled for Columbus Day weekend.
On Wednesday, September 15th the Red Hook Soccer Club would like this day to be "Soccer Jersey Day" so please have your players wear their team jersey for the entire day.
Saturday, September 25th will be Photo Day for the Red Hook Soccer Club. Please ensure that your player forms are submitted on time and look to the schedule for your photo timeslot and game. Please be timely so we can quickly attend to the 44 team & individual photos.
Late Registration:
As you can imagine with the populatity of the RHSC program, the Board strives to accommodate all those that have interest in the soccer program - That is Our Mission - but at this time we may not be able to do given team structures, etc. At this time, minimal openings exist and therefore a waiting list is being used to properly manage player placement. Please contact Amy Sivulich ( Club Registrar ) or Mary Strieder ( VP-Intramural Program ) for assistance as coaches are not aware of pending placements.
Board Elections:
At the July 6th Board Meeting, the election of the 2004/2005 Board occurred. The Organization link has been updated to reflect the elections. Please join us in thanking Karl Heymann for his years of service on the Board and welcome Cherril Welch for stepping forward to offer assistance. At this time, one Board position does remain open. Again if you would like to see the Club progress further, please contact Brad Howland at (845)758-4424 to discuss how your talents can help.
In addition, numerous non-Board level leadership positions exist - for instance, extending the Club's website to do more. Again please give serious thought to "Extending a Helping Hand".
Cleats Exchange & Shinguards - Reminder: The cleat exchange box - located in the shed - is there for your convenience. Take the time to keep those players feet properly outfitted and please consider donating those outgrown cleats as well. And remember those shinguards as well... they are mandatory... and donating old shinguards is greatly appreciated too.
Parking/Garbage/Dog Policy - As always, child safety is a top priority so please take care when entering, exiting, and navigating through the parking area. Please keep a watchful eye on your children in the parking area as well as around the fields. There is absolutely no playing in the parking area. Also, we are a "carry-in/carry-out" program which means we are not providing garbage cans so please take the time not to leave items behind. And finally, because of health and safety concerns the Soccer Club has a "No Dog" policy, so please abide by this.
